Anthony Durante Re-elected as ARA’s VP of NY
Our very own CEO, Anthony Durante, was recently re-elected as the Vice President of the American Rental Association’s (ARA) New York Chapter.
Over the years, Anthony has volunteered a considerable amount of his time to the ARA and has also served on the Construction and Tool Special Interest Group advisory committee in 2012 & 2013. He is a frequent contributor to their annual Rental Show and has served as their Vice President of the New York Chapter since its
inception in 2011.
Congratulations to Anthony Durante on his continued success as Vice President of ARA’s New York Chapter.

NEW Multiquip MC3PEA Mix-N-Go Utility Concrete Mixers
We’ve added to our inventory of mixers with these easy-to-use and easy-to-transport utility mixers from Multiquip.
The Mix-N-Go Concrete Mixer combines a host of performance-enhancing features with ease of transportation to, from, and around the job site. It can mix up to three cubic feet of material, making the Mix-N-Go the tool of choice for homeowners and small contractors.
It is available with a gasoline engine or electric motor for operator convenience and for increased versatility. It can also be used as a wheelbarrow to transport concrete, debris, and other material around the job site. With a stronger frame and sturdy steel or polyethylene drum, the Mix-N-Go is ideal for small footings and bases, binding block, and concrete patching.

Bobcat Co. celebrated the production of its millionth Bobcat loader with a formal ceremony on July 12th, sharing the occasion with its employees and the community of Gwinner, N.D, home to its primary production facility. Family members of those who invented the original loader, perfected the design, brought it to the market and created the brand five decades ago also were present, in addition to past organizational leaders and hundreds of others who have been part of the Bobcat success story. Bad Weather Hampers 2014 Construction Spending,
Architects Say
The national group that represents U.S. architects projects that spending on non-residential buildings will continue to increase this year.
However, it won’t jump by as much as the American Institute of Architects had originally thought. The AIA believes such spending will jump by 4.9 percent in 2014, down from original projections of 5.8 percent at the beginning of the year. Read More.
Metro Area Construction Contracts Rise 28%
The value of contracts for future construction in the metropolitan area rose 28 percent in June compared with a year ago, as residential activity picked up.
McGraw Hill Construction, an industry information service, reported that $2.7 billion in contracts for future building was awarded in June for the 23-county region that includes Long Island. Read More.
