Person of the Year Award
The U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) has namedDurante Rentals founders John Durante, Christopher Jones and Anthony Durante as the 2016 SBA New York District Office Small Business Person(s) of the Year. The award was presented in conjunction with 2016 National Business Week at a ceremony held at 26 Federal Plaza in New York City.

Durante Rentals and NY Takeuchi Exhibit at the 28th Annual NYC Equipment & Vehicle Show
Every May, the Annual Equipment and Vehicle Show in Flushing Meadows Corona Park features the latest gear, equipment and safety features in the construction industry. This year, companies from across the country came to display their products and negotiate partnerships. Booths offered free food, giveaways and opportunities for our team to make some valuable connections with vendors offering cutting edge products and services.
Our Takeuchi machines and Durante Rentals booth were stationed front and center along the famous Corona Park Unisphere. Throughout the day, dozens of Durante fans and potential customers stopped by the booth to grab a t-shirt and say hi to the team, including some of our youngest
fans who had a great time playing on our skid steers, and picking candy from our excavator bucket.
Our President and CEO in DC for the US Business Landscape Caucus
Durante Rentals President John Durante and CEO Anthony Durante, traveled to our nation’s capital for a New York State Congress and Senate caucus to help support the U.S. small business landscape. While meeting with our congressmen and senator’s offices, they discussed many important issues facing the country’s many small businesses.
Among them was the issue of rising health insurance taxes that are suffocating small businesses country wide. The tax currently impacts only small businesses and their employees while larger self-insured companies remain unaffected. Many owners throughout the country are forced to pass this tax on to their employees, decreasing their paychecks and lowering their standard of living.

Every year, Hudson River Park invites New Yorkers to experience the ultimate communal outdoor arena. Showcase Their Golf Skills
Last Week, our staff in region 2 had an amazing night of virtual golfing at The Backdoor Indoor Golf in Cortlandt, NY.
Congratulations to our West Nyack staff for beating the pants off of Carmel and Brewster to become the Durante Rentals Virtual Golf Champs.
Our Region 1 golf event was postponed due to inclement weather but has been rescheduled and the games will go on. Stay tuned for the final results.
